Before and After Scalp Micropigmentation

On this page, you will find examples of our work and photos of how the client’s scalp looked before and after scalp micropigmentation.

Scalp micropigmentation, also called microblading or hair tattoo, is a treatment that is used to avert the effects of thinning, receding or balding hair. The SMP specialist recreates individual hair strands or follicles in the desired area using a special device consisting of thin needles or a special thin blade. Thanks to this procedure the resulting effect looks perfectly natural.

Scalp microblading can cover up balding areas near the lobes or on the crown, to correct a receding hairline, or to make thin hair look denser.

Whether you need to get rid of bald patches or to make your thin hair thicker, SMP will give you a fresh look.

Before and After Scalp Micropigmentation Instructions

A free consultation where the client and the SMP specialist agree on which areas will be pigmented and how densely precedes the treatment, and we select the pigment to fit the client’s hair colour.

The client also receives a set of instructions that must be observed before the procedure:

  1. Subfebrile and high temperature.
  2. No blood thinners should be taken 10 days before SMP.
  3. Sunbathing should be avoided for 10 days before SMP.
  4. No alcohol, caffeine, and heavy or spicy food should be consumed 24 hours before the treatment.
  5. Smoking should be avoided for at least two hours before the procedure.

Some instructions must be followed after the treatment to support the scalp micropigmentation healing process and achieve the best results:

  1. Antibiotics should not be taken for two weeks after the procedure.
  2. The scalp should not come into contact with water for three days after the treatment.
  3. The pigmented area must be treated with chlorhexidine or Corsodyl until it heals, which should take around 7-10 days. Sunbathing should be avoided during this period as well as applying makeup to the area.
  4. No bathing, swimming or sauna for two weeks after SMP.
  5. No touching or scratching the scalp during the healing process.

Hairline Tattoo Before and After

Micropigmentation is an effective way of correcting a receding hairline and making it look more even and symmetric.

SMP can also make the forehead look smaller when desired.

The SMP artist draws manually each strand of hair so that the hairline looks natural.

Scar Camouflage SMP Before and After

Micropigmentation is often used to cover up scars from injuries or hair transplants. Hair strands or hair follicles are drawn over the scar so that it becomes camouflaged under the pigment.

Crown Scalp Micropigmentation Before and After

Men typically suffer from hair loss in the crown area, which is on top of the head. In such a case the pigmentation is made to look like close-shaved hair. The SMP specialist applies the pigment with several needles so that the tattoo looks like individual hair follicles.

Long Hair Pigmentation Before and After

Scalp micropigmentation is useful not only for those with short hair, but it can conceal bald or thinning patches in long hair as well. Even though the pigmentation does not actually add any hair, it can make hair look richer and thicker even when it is long.
