Eyebrows Permanent Makeup

The shape of the eyebrows can dramatically change a person’s face: their shape and volume affect facial expressions, accentuate the eyes and make the face unique.

Eyebrows permanent makeup is a modern technique, which allows you to restore the original natural appearance of your eyebrows, adjust their shape and volume, add thickness or completely restore areas of missing hair.

Eyebrows micropigmentation is the process of inserting a special pigment into the surface layer of the skin – the upper layer of the dermis – at a depth of 0.3-0.5 mm with a specialized thin needle. As such, it works like sort of an eyebrow tattoo.

The resulting semi-permanent eyebrows last on average from one to two years, depending on the individual characteristics of the body.

Choose the most suitable micropigmentation technique for you

HD Line

One of the newest techniques for creating the appearance of extremely thin hairs in the eyebrows area with the help of micropigmentation. The expert draws extremely fine hairs in the shape that was chosen by the client at the sketching stage – a preliminary drawing with a cosmetic pencil.

Powder Brows

The technique creates a semi-transparent, soft shadow eyebrows texture or, instead, intensifies their colour, giving it more saturation. It is as if a “powder base” is sprayed under the hairs, which becomes their permanent foundation. Powder Brows allow you to “fill in” the missing parts of your eyebrows, giving sparse or thin brows a dense, well-groomed, and voluminous appearance.

One of the newest techniques for creating the appearance of extremely thin hairs in the eyebrows area with the help of micropigmentation. The expert draws extremely fine hairs in the shape that was chosen by the client at the sketching stage – a preliminary drawing with a cosmetic pencil. The technology uses special thin needles, positioned at the optimal angle in a specific sequence, with the help of which the pigment is inserted. Semi-permanent brows are drawn in a manner that mimics the direction of hair growth as closely as possible and creates a natural effect. Individual hairs and the eyebrows as a whole look real, without giving away the presence of micropigmentation.

When is the procedure necessary?
  • For long-term correction of natural defects in the shape of eyebrows.
  • For masking gaps and scars on the eyebrows, so that the natural hairs cannot be discerned form the ones that are drawn on.
  • For recreating the natural appearance of the eyebrows when completely absent (alopecia, trauma) or sparse.
  • For a full imitation of the natural eyebrows hair growth.
  • For intense and stable colour.
  • For giving the eyebrows the desired shape (arch, length and width) while preserving their dimensionality and texture in accordance with the general aesthetics of the face.
Benefits
  • The permanent eyebrow tattoo looks so realistic that it is impossible to tell which hairs are real and which are drawn on. Thanks to an especially thin blade the thickness of the hairs is equal to the natural hair width.
  • The permanent makeup eyebrows procedure affects the upper layers of the skin: each hair is drawn by hand – therefore during and after the procedure there is no pain, bleeding or swelling.
  • The pigment used in semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo does not change colour like regular tattoos. The shade simply loses intensity over time.
  • The duration of results – from 1 to 2.5 years (until the complete dissipation of the pigment depending on the individual characteristics of the body).

Powder Brows allow you to “fill in” the missing parts of your eyebrows, give sparse or thin brows a dense, well-groomed and voluminous appearance. The pigment is applied to the upper layers of the skin easily and painlessly, it does not fade or turn an unwanted shade over time. The technique can be used as a standalone method of eyebrow tattoo makeup or in combination with HD Line hair microblading.

  • For giving natural eyebrows an appearance of thickness.
Benefits
  • Airy brows with no unnatural explicit contour, the pigment is applied so superficially and transparently that it is difficult to distinguish it from decorative cosmetics up close.
  • An expressive eyebrows shape and the placement of accents: elongation of the tail, the correct eyebrows shade, creation of an arch. Filling the eyebrows in with either a light and translucent or a dense and intense shadow.
  • The texture and shade of the pigment can be extremely light and correct even light-toned eyebrows.

How to prepare for the procedure?

Before the eyebrows micropigmentation procedure, it is best not to pluck, cut or shave your eyebrows. The specialist needs to see the direction of hair growth, the thickness and the colour of your eyebrows. If you have a clear idea of how your cosmetic eyebrow tattoo should look, then it is better to come to the procedure with your usual eye and brow makeup, then it will be easier for a specialist to understand your preferences and see the whole picture.

  • 10 days before the procedure, refrain from taking blood-thinning (aspirin, etc.) and vasoconstrictor drugs.
  • For two weeks before and after the procedure, antibiotics should not be taken, otherwise the body will reject the pigment.
  • 10 days before the procedure, refrain from sunbathing and indoor tanning (if you have a bright intense sunburn, you will only be able to schedule an appointment after your skin returns to its natural shade, which will allow the specialist to select the correct pigment tone).
  • Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before the procedure, as well as stimulating drinks (coffee, strong tea, caffeinated products, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, energy drinks), refrain from using skincare products, eyebrows growth serums, and do not consume heavy, spicy food. All these factors contribute to the thinning of blood, which can lead to lymph secretion, difficulties for the specialist and complications during healing.
  • Do not smoke 2 hours before the procedure.

Absolute contraindications

  1. Subfebrile and high temperature.
  2. A period of exacerbation of any illness.
  3. Blood disorders: Von Willebrand disease, haemophilia, hypertension.

  4. Consumption of corticosteroids, strong antibiotics, anticoagulants, retinoids (possible scarring, delayed healing), vitamins and dietary supplements, alcohol.
  5. Pregnancy and lactation period (first 4 months). It is not recommended to undergo permanent makeup procedures in the first trimester. In the second and third trimesters and the lactation period, the procedure may be conducted only with the permission of a doctor in the case that the client will easily tolerate the procedure (as in no pain-relieving medication will be needed).
  6. Menstruation. In this period, the chances of bleeding are increased and the pain threshold is lowered. The recommended time for the procedure is the middle of a cycle.
  7. Old tattoo. Before recording, be sure to warn and send a photo of the old permanent makeup. Unfortunately, not all cases can be covered up, and removal may be required at first.

Aftercare

The quality of the final result after the permanent eyebrow treatments is 50% dependent on competent post procedural care with the help of recommended medications and hygiene rules.

Please note that up to 10 days after the permanent makeup of brows, when the shedding process of the scabs occurs, it is not recommended to plan important events, as using makeup on the eyebrows is strictly prohibited during this time because the eyebrows are undergoing the healing process.

  • By the end of the first day after the procedure, small scab forms on the surface of the skin – to reduce its formation it is recommended to regularly wipe the micropigmentation zone with a cotton disc soaked in Corsodyl solution on the day of the procedure.
  • Before the shedding of the scabs, avoid water and thermal procedures: swimming in pools or open water, visiting the sauna or Turkish baths. Do not allow the area to come into contact with water (if wet, carefully blot with a towel – do not rub!). Wash your hair without allowing contact with the affected area, do not take baths, and do take long showers to prevent the scab from shedding too early due to wetness.
  • Avoid physical impact on the healing area: Do not touch! Do not rub it! Do not scratch! Do not peel! Do not touch unnecessarily! Do not speed up the shedding process of the scabs! Do not let the scabs crack!
  • If experiencing uncomfortable tightness of the skin under the scabs (from the 2nd to the 7th day after the procedure), use a small amount of medication recommended by a specialist (after washing your hands). Remove excess product with a napkin!
  • Do not apply skincare products, makeup or camouflage to and around the affected area until the healing process has finished.
  • To prevent the faded eyebrow tattoo look, resulting from the fading of the pigment, which is not fully settled yet, do not expose the treated area to the sun for three weeks after the procedure. For protection from the sun, use a cream with a high sun protection factor (SPF 30) and sunglasses.
  • More information is available in the “Pamphlet on aftercare for micropigmentation procedures”, which the client receives along with other documentation prior to the procedure.

For achieving lasting results and for greater durability of the permanent makeup at least 1 additional correction procedure is necessary with a recommended interval of 1-3 months. The procedure is considered incomplete without correction.
