Aftercare

- Mild swelling or redness — completely normal, slight swelling subsides within 2 days.
- No direct UV exposure for 2–3 weeks — protect the area from sunlight, use SPF 30+.
- No makeup on the treated area for 3 days. After that you can apply makeup normally.
- Do not touch the treated area, do not scratch, do not peel off scabs.
- Touch-ups — on average 2–3 touch-ups are needed. The first is performed after 30 days, when the specialist assesses pigment retention and fine-tunes the result.
How to prepare for the procedure
Before the dark circle camouflage procedure, please follow these recommendations:
- Stop taking blood-thinning medications (aspirin, etc.) 10 days before the procedure.
- Do not take antibiotics two weeks before and after the procedure.
- Avoid tanning beds and sunbathing 10 days before the procedure. The skin must not be sunburned — the specialist needs to see your natural skin tone to select the pigment.
- Do not consume alcohol, coffee, energy drinks or spicy food 24 hours before.
- Do not smoke for at least 2 hours before the procedure.
- Do not apply creams or cosmetics to the eye area.

- Blood disorders — thrombopathy, haemophilia, stage 2 hypertension

- Cold, acute inflammatory diseases

- Presence of unknown growths in the eye area
- Mental disorders
- Surgical operations in the eye area (1–6 months)
- Chemotherapy/radiotherapy
- First trimester of pregnancy
Relative contraindications
- Allergies and increased sensitivity to pigment components
- Dermatitis, acute rashes in the eye area
- Weakened immunity, rehabilitation period after surgery
- Period of taking corticosteroids, strong antibiotics, anticoagulants
- Second and third trimester of pregnancy — the procedure is only possible with doctor’s consent.
- Breastfeeding — not recommended during the first month of lactation.
- Menstrual period — increases bleeding; it is better to schedule the procedure in the middle of the cycle.
